Photos: John Paul Jones (of Led Zeppelin) – Live @ Hardly Strictly Bluegrass 2014

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass 2014

Since the disbandment of Led Zeppelin both Robert Plant and John Paul Jones have immersed themselves deep in Americana, country and bluegrass. While Plant has teamed with Allison Krauss, Buddy Miller and Patty Griffin over the past few years, bass player John Paul Jones has collaborated with a number of artists including Seasick Steve, Nickel Creek and most recently The David Rawlings Machine featuring Gillian Welch.

I’ve never had the opportunity to photograph Jimmy Page, but I have shot Robert Plant at a previous Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival, and this was the third time i’ve photographed John Paul Jones (both previous times when John Paul Jones was performing with Dave Grohl and Josh Homme as part of Them Crooked Vultures).
